On 13 April 2026, a group of scientists from the Geophysical Centre of the Russian Academy of Sciences visited the Institute of Seismology. During the visit, discussions took place regarding an international project dedicated to studying long-term changes in the Earth’s magnetic field through geophysical research, including ground-based and satellite observations of the Earth’s magnetic field, which will enable the identification of areas with anomalous values of the Earth’s magnetic field. An agreement was reached to publish joint articles on the research findings in a prestigious scientific journal with a high Hirsch index, as well as to organise internships for young specialists.
