On September 17-18, the Institute of Seismology named after G.O. Mavlonov was visited by a group of scientists from the United States of America, including Andreya Chan (Andrea Chiang), Tuna Onur (Tuna Onur) from the Lawrence Lavemore National Laboratory (LLNL) and Kevin Mackey from Michigan State University (Michigan State University), as well as representatives of the US Embassy in Uzbekistan. During the visit, the "Seismic Cooperation Program Team," which is planned to be implemented jointly with LLNL, was discussed, after which scientists from the USA, Tuna Onur, Andrea Chang, and Kevin McKee, shared the results of their research with presentations. At the end of the meeting, an agreement was reached on expanding cooperation and implementing joint projects.
