Development of geophysical models considering the latest achievements in the study of strong earthquake preparation processes;
Creation and implementation of new data analysis methods based on international experience in earthquake prediction and formulation of relevant proposals;
Study of the nature and mechanisms of strong earthquake manifestations;
Development of regularities in the preparation of strong earthquakes;
Regular analysis of data from stationary magnetometric stations located throughout Uzbekistan and submission of conclusions to the earthquake forecasting commission.

MAIN SCIENTIFIC RESULTS ACHIEVED IN RECENT YEARS:

Based on data obtained from 16 permanent stations included in the INTERMAGNET network and 15 stationary magnetic stations located within Uzbekistan, a map of the secular variations of the Earth's magnetic field has been developed.
Between 1966 and 2020, the staff of the Laboratory of Fundamental Problems of Earthquake Prediction published over 630 scientific articles, around 30 monographs, and received 8 certificates of authorship and patents for inventions. In addition, 4 doctoral and 10 candidate (PhD equivalent) dissertations were successfully defended.
In accordance with Clause 8 of Appendix No. 1 to the Presidential Decree of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. PP-4794 dated July 30, 2020, a new model for the formation of medium- and short-term complexes of strong earthquake precursors was developed, and the patterns of earthquake manifestations were identified.
In accordance with Clause 38 of the “Roadmap” of the Presidential Decree of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. PF-144 dated May 30, 2022, an automated system for transmitting magnetometric data was implemented at the Yang ibazar Magnetic Observatory.
Software titled "Magnetic Data Transmission GEM – 19T" and "Online Processing of Magnetometric Data" was developed as part of this initiative.
